Bringing a classic arcade IP into 3D

Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness reimagined the classic arcade character in a 3D isometric world – moving from the pure maze-clearing of the original into a more adventure-oriented structure with distinct worlds, themed environments, and level variety across the campaign.

As Producer and Lead Designer, I was responsible for both the production of the title and its level design output. The Halloween world was my direct design contribution – a full themed world built from scratch within the game's design language.

Design contributions

  • Halloween world level design Designed all levels in the Halloween world – a fully themed environment with its own visual identity, hazard set, and enemy behavior patterns. Level design within a licensed IP like Pac-Man requires working within established rules (maze structure, ghost behavior, power-up logic) while finding enough variation to make a complete world feel distinct and worth playing through.
  • Production leadership Led production across the title – managing the design department, coordinating with engineering and art, and delivering the game across four platforms on schedule.
